A
tour guide who was leading a group of tourists found the body of an
unidentified man in Kinabatangan River, near Kampung Buang Sayang on Tuesday.
District police
chief DSP Martin Lugu said the body could not be immediately identified as
there were no identification documents found on it.The tour guide informed RELA
members, who in turn notified the police and Fire and Rescue Department, he
said.
Martin said the
body, clad in a T-shirt, blue jeans and rubber shoes, was taken to Kinabatangan
Hospital for a post-mortem.He urged those with a missing family member to come
forward to help identify the body
